Sculpture by Sir Tony Cragg - "Hedge" Photographed at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park There were other similar sculptures under the title 'Hedge', but while I know that there is more to naming art than simply 'what it looks like', I've named my photo of Tony's work 'Rusty', because having taken it I could definitely see topiary with a head and a tail...
From a distance the cloudy water and tree-shaped roots can make it difficult to determine which way up this photo should be. I love the way it almost mirrors in reverse the layers of a landscape shot, layers which are only visible because the stream has gradually eroded the bank beneath these tree roots as the years have passed.
