The Whole Tree

I'd had in my mind for months that I wanted to photograph a whole tree ... as you can imagine this poses certain problems, not least that there can be as much root underground as there is crown in the sky, so aside from photographing fallen trees this was proving difficult. You can imagine my excitement when I saw this opportunity to crouch under a living, growing tree and capture as much of it as my lens would allow.
