Holiday destinations can look so different in the winter. I enjoyed walking along the almost deserted beach at Mablethorpe in my wellies, and running out of the waves in my attempts to capture them from a different perspective. But as I walked back towards the car I wanted to capture the dusty, musty, sheet-covered atmosphere of a place that is only busy for half the year; the atmosphere that the tourists don't tend to see, but in a picture that still portrayed it as the seaside ... I found it in this cafe window.
Built on Castle Hill, Huddersfield, the tower was a gift to the town from her majesty Queen Victoria. Sold: 1x (8"x12")
